Postcards from Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach was one of the first destinations I visited upon arriving in Melbourne. I had heard about these cute colourful bathing boxes and figured it was something I had to see.

There are 82 distinctive bathing boxes at Brighton Beach that were built over 100 years ago. They all display Victorian architectural features (timber framing, weather boards, corrugated iron roofs), but each individual box is uniquely painted. Here are some of my favourite ones 🙂
